Ruth B. Fundraiser

A young, stray, red heeler found herself in a North Carolina shelter. Luckily ACDRA rescued her, because two days later she gave birth to 7 healthy puppies! 

Mama was named Ruth B, and her pups were named Ginsburg, E. Cady, Stanton, Susan B., Anthony, Sojourner, and Truth.

Shortly after delivery, Ruth B began to limp and show some distress, and was diagnosed with grade 3 luxating patellas in her knees. She ultimately needed surgery as one resulted in a cruciate tear. Poor mama was in so much pain, but she tended to her pups and gave them everything they needed!

Thanks to our ACDRA donors, we were able to give Ruth B everything she needed too! She was able to get surgery, rehabilitation, and will be able to live her best life moving forward.
